How we get the number

The formula
A bonus is worth what it pays minus what it costs you to unlock it. Clearing a wagering requirement means betting a fixed amount of money through a game that keeps a percentage of everything wagered.
expected loss = turnover × (1 − RTP)
real value = bonus − expected loss
The one word that changes everything
Wagering applies either to the bonus alone or to bonus plus deposit. Marketing never highlights which. The same advertised offer is close to four times worse under the second reading, and most terms use it.
When the terms do not say, we assume the worse one and the video says so on screen. Being wrong in your favour is the failure that would make all of this worthless, so the maths is deliberately ungenerous where the wording is vague. Where the terms are explicit, we use what they actually say — even when that is the kinder reading.
Why we rank per 1 deposited
A €250 bonus and a €3,500 bonus on identical terms produce very different-looking losses, and ranking on the raw figure would simply crown whoever offers least. Dividing by the qualifying deposit fixes that, and being a ratio it lets offers in different currencies sit in one honest list. −2.2× means the bonus is expected to cost 2.2 times what you put in.

turnover = $1,000 × 35 = $35,000
expected loss = $35,000 × 0.04 = $1,400
real value = $1,000 − $1,400 = −$400
per 1 in = −$400 ÷ $1,000 = −0.4×
What we assume, and what we don't
Where a casino does not publish its game mix we use 96% RTP, a typical slot figure, and the video states that on screen. Some casinos make it exact rather than assumed: Shuffle weights rollover progress by the edge of the game played, so clearing it costs 4% of the requirement whatever you play.
We do not model max-bet rules, excluded games, partial game contribution, expiry windows or country restrictions. Each of those can only make a bonus worse than the figure shown, never better. A real number is the ceiling, not the expectation.
One of those deserves its own line. Our figure assumes you finish the wagering. The maximum bet allowed while clearing, together with the time limit, decides whether that is realistic: at roughly five seconds a spin and betting the maximum throughout — the fastest anyone could legally clear it — Fairspin's requirement works out at over five hours of non-stop play every day for three days. An unfinished bonus is forfeited along with anything won from it, so where the "can you finish it?" column is red the true value is worse than the figure beside it, not better.
A negative figure is normal and is not a judgement on the casino. It is what a wagering requirement does. The offers actually worth having usually carry no turnover requirement at all — see the offer types.
